Elijah Wood, known for his role of Frodo in the Lord of the Rings, will play a role in the new movie Celeste and Jesse Forever. Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg will star next to Wood in the upcoming movie.

In the movie Celeste is in the middle of a divorce and she’s trying maintain her friendship with her(soon to be ex) husband.  Celeste will be played by Rashida Jones, known for her role in I Love You, Man. Celeste’s husband will be played by Samberg and Wood will play Celeste’s business partner.

The movie will be produced by Team Todd (Jennifer and Suzanne Todd), known for their production of Across The Universe. Across the Universe won a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture in the category Musical en Comedy.

The 30 year old Wood is currently still in New Zealand for the recordings of Peter Jackson’s upcoming movie The Hobbit, a two part prequel to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Hobbit is expected to be released somewhere in December 2012. Right now, it’s not clear when Celeste and Jesse Forever will be hitting the cinemas. We’ll keep you posted!
