Reed switch is designed with two or more magnetizable and versatile metal reeds whose end parts are divided by small space when the switch is activated. The reeds are hermetically sealed in both ends of the tubular glass enclosure. The blades protrude internally in the glass capsule with space amid them, and create contact with each other during the presence of an applicable magnetic field. The contact position on both blades is reinforced with an extremely solid metal compound, which is usually Rhodium or Ruthenium. These solid metals will result n the elevation to the potential of a hugely long lifespan.

So where can people use these reed switches? One major application of reed switches are reed relays. A single or more reed switches on the coil’s interior is known as a reed relay. A reed relay is utilized in the event that the currents being operated with are considerably lower. They are used to improve the operating speeds and increase the performance and efficiency with very small currents that are not reliably activated by traditional contacts, high liability and durability.

Another application for reed switches is for electrical circuit management, mainly in the communications field. Reed switches that are activated by magnets are usually utilized in mechanical networks as parameter sensors. This includes door and window sensors in alarm monitoring devices and tamper proofing techniques.

Protesters shouted their discontent sparked by law enforcement’s reaction to the occupations. They asked Obama why thousands of protesters have been arrested yet financial institutions were operating unchecked and unaccountable for their alleged crimes. Protesters pulled no punches, telling the president that they believe he has sold them out. Many involved in the movement complain that Obama, along with several other political figures, has ignored the needs of the average American.

In addition to the discontented protesters, the president also had a number of supporters attending the speech. Obama’s supporters were less accommodating than the president. When the president was interrupted by the shouting Occupy movement, Obama’s supporters chanted his name to drown out the sound of descent.

This time LiLo showed up for her court date with a better choice of clothing but clearly showing a definite lack of skills in the make-up department. While the judge does not appear to be overly impressed by Lindsay’s Hollywood background it does seem that the hands of justice have been more than a little lenient for this prima donna.

Although it was obvious that Lohan was attempting to impress the court with a ‘seriously sober’ demeanor Judge Sautner ruled that she was going to order LiLo to serve jail time for violating the terms of her probation. The sentencing may have seemed harsher but once again appearances were deceiving.

Lindsay did make it to the booking station but this time her 30 day sentence lasted less than 5 hours. This was good news for the former Disney star since she had a nude Playboy shoot on her social calendar.

According to Lohan’s reps it seems that this ‘bad girl’ actress enjoyed baring her body and is eagerly looking forward to the photo-spread that is going to be included in Playboy’s January edition. Even Lindsay’s mother is supporting her daughter’s decision to pose nude and believes that the pictures are going to impress many people.

From probation violator to nude model in less than a week, who else but LiLo could pull this off?

Los Angeles County District Attorney officials are blaming Dr. Murray for the pop icon’s death due to his medical negligence in treating Jackson for sleeping problems when the doctor started using a strong surgical anesthetic called propofol. Records suggest Murray put Jackson to sleep every night with the drug for more than two months. According to the coroner, the cause of death in this case was “acute propofol intoxication” in combination with other sedative drugs found in the singer’s system.

Dr. Murray’s attorney, Ed Chernoff will make the claim that Jackson took his own life without the help of Murray. He is expected to provide evidence that Jackson swallowed sedatives and the propofol when the doctor was not present. Chernoff will argue to the jury that Murray had no direct or prior knowledge of what Jackson ingested or plan to ingest, and therefore is not responsible. Murray contends that he was trying to wean the singer off his addiction to propofol when Jackson took his own life.

The matter of the doctor’s responsibility and role in the overdose and death is ultimately up for a jury to decide. A conviction of involuntary manslaughter in this case could result the suspension or revocation of Dr. Murray’s medical license and up to a four years prison sentence.

Even though there are still some celebrities that use old phones, most celebrities have moved on with time and they are using smartphones these days. They use the same phones that most normal people are using in their normal lives. Cell phones are an important accessory these days, not just for celebrities but also for normal people.

The iPhone is often seen as one of the hippest and most popular smartphones around and Madonna, Pharrell Williams and Lindsay Lohan have been seen using an iPhone. Other celebrities that are iPhone fans and love using their iPhone include Formula One driver Sebastian Vettel and Transformers actress Megan Fox.

Another popular smartphone that is often used by celebrities is the Blackberry. Despite the fact that it’s not the phone with the best design it has many fans amongst celebrities, such as Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez and Paris Hilton.

We don’t see as many celebrities with Android smartphones yet, but Android phones are catching up fast and they are rapidly getting more popular, better and faster. Phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the HTC Sensation certainly do have their fans as well. Lady Gaga, Olivia Munn and Star Wars actor Hayden Christensen have all been spotted with an Android smartphone.

Celebrities tend to change their cell phones quite often though, so making a list of which celebrity is using which phone is rather hard the data could change at any time. What is clear, however, is that they use the same phones we do and they all have their own preference, just like us.

Dunn, 34 years old, had uploaded a picture of himself and his friends in a bar to his Facebook page a few hours before the crash and he had also made several pictures with fans. On the pictures Dunn can be seen drinking and from the looks of it, he’s not completely sober. The toxicology report has just been released and it seems to confirm that Dunn did indeed drink too much, his blood alcohol level was more than two times the legal limit.

Dunn starred in the MTV hit series Jackass and in the three movies that followed. He also had his own TV shows, Homewrecker and Proving Ground, and he appeared regularly in Viva La Bam, Bam Margera’s Jackass-spinoff. Hartwell was a 30 year old production assistant who worked with Dunn and Jackass in the past.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will have to consider getting married sometime soon, after their children have requested them to get married. The couple has made a statement before saying they will wait getting married until the day everyone can get married in the US, but they might have to reconsider that.

The American actor has revealed in an interview with USA Today that the children are asking more and more questions about marriage and that marriage is something that is becoming more meaningful and important to them. Pitt and Jolie have six children, aged 2-9. Three of their children are adopted.

Pitt and Jolie try not to lie to their children and always want to tell them the truth. “There are no secrets at our house,” Pitt said. “We tell the kids, ‘Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.’ They go, ‘Eww, gross!’ But we demand it.”

Pitt and Jolie have been together for about 6 years. They met at the set of the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005. Pitt divorced Friends actress Jennifer Aniston in that same year after being married to her for five years.

Elijah Wood, known for his role of Frodo in the Lord of the Rings, will play a role in the new movie Celeste and Jesse Forever. Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg will star next to Wood in the upcoming movie.

In the movie Celeste is in the middle of a divorce and she’s trying maintain her friendship with her(soon to be ex) husband.  Celeste will be played by Rashida Jones, known for her role in I Love You, Man. Celeste’s husband will be played by Samberg and Wood will play Celeste’s business partner.

The movie will be produced by Team Todd (Jennifer and Suzanne Todd), known for their production of Across The Universe. Across the Universe won a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture in the category Musical en Comedy.

The 30 year old Wood is currently still in New Zealand for the recordings of Peter Jackson’s upcoming movie The Hobbit, a two part prequel to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Hobbit is expected to be released somewhere in December 2012. Right now, it’s not clear when Celeste and Jesse Forever will be hitting the cinemas. We’ll keep you posted!
